Degassing Diffusers

Overview

Pyrotek's degassing diffusers are stationary degassing systems designed to absorb gas and other impurities. Degassing processes are essential in foundry operations that require high cast quality and the elimination of hydrogen-induced porosity. Pyrotek offers a range of stationary degassing solutions, which are used to remove absorbed gas and other impurities from molten aluminium melts. This process significantly improves the quality of finished aluminium. 

Pyrotek Offerings

Pyrotek degassing tubes, or diffuser tubes, are specially designed to rid molten melts of absorbed gas and other impurities. These stationary systems are an economical and effective alternative to STAR rotary degassing systems. Degassing tubes are made from either reinforced fibreglass material (RFM), ceramic or graphite and can be formed into many shapes.

Pyrotek also offers custom fit components and mounting systems for degassing tubes.
