Heating Elements
Overview
Heating elements are made of a highly resistant material and use electricity to accurately control the temperature of molten metal.
Pyrotek Offerings
There are two main types of heating elements: immersion and radiant heating elements.
Immersion heating elements are the most effective way to maintain the temperature of the metal while in transit between the melting furace and casting stations. While inside a protection sleeve, the heating elements are immersed in the metal and can be placed either vertically or horizontally.
Radiant heating elements are elevated and radiate heat into the metal below the elements. GloBar, ribbon element and spiral wound are three main radiant heating element designs.
- Increase energy savings
- Maintain optimal metal temperature
- Reduce downtime and increase productivity
- Immersion elements are easy to install and have no gas pick up
