Twin Roll Caster Tips

Overview

Twin roll caster tips, also known as nozzles or injectors, are used to regulate the width in continuous sheet casting. Caster tips are custom designed per casting operation and are available for vertical, tilt and horizontal casters. Twin roll caster tips are constructed out of a top and bottom tip section with spacers in between them. Spacers create the cavity that allows metal to flow through the tip. Pyrotek caster tips are dimensionally stable, insulating and designed to assure thin guage foil quality.

Caster tips are available in hard tip and soft tip varieties.

The premium material for caster tips is Pyrotek R3. These are hard tips that are used on all types of twin roll casters.
