Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Division Supply Chain Manager manages the development and continuous improvement of USA/Mexico Division supply chain through optimization of technology, planning and processes. Develops and drives a supply chain strategy that aligns with business objectives across all global operations.
** This position ideally will be located in our Columbia City, IN Aluminium & Foundry headquarters. However, consideration will be given to candidates who are within commute distance to our other East Coast facilities (OH, PA, NC, NY) **
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Oversee the overarching strategy for supplier/commodity management of raw materials, outside services, components, Maintenance, Repair and Operation (MRO) and capital equipment to support global and regional operations.
- Alongside division executives, effectively managing strategic vendor relationships to promote a strong supply base and create strategic alliances.
- Develop and implement supply chain initiatives to achieve division objectives for cost reduction and working capital.
- Lead and develop the function of supply chain across the division, this includes training and development of the formal and informal supply chain leaders in Protek.
- Lead critical negotiations with vendors to ensure the best quality and cost competitive supply chain including large capital equipment programs. Lead efforts to obtain price reductions and most favorable credit terms from our vendors
- Responsible for supporting the evaluation and execution of potential acquisition opportunities to ensure future organic growth.
- Drive vendor business Continuation Disaster Recovery to ensure we protect our supply chain from major disruption.
- Establish vendor scorecard metrics and related tracking reports for use in MRP planning and vendor negotiations.
- Oversee/work with logistics manager and transportation initiatives to minimize total freight spend, balanced against other goals (working capital, on time delivery).
- Establish, communicate, and report on inventory goals and KPIs.
- Lead and oversee aged inventory reviews across plants and sales teams with ongoing root cause analysis
- Develop and implement inventory strategies to achieve optimal inventory levels without sacrificing customer service levels (on time delivery).
- Oversee the development of functional tools, processes and/or procedures to build and strengthen existing supply chain foundations for continued growth in all business areas.
- Effectively lead projects and they are delivered within scope and within agreed upon timelines, utilizing the defined level of manpower and established third party costs. This includes:
- Leading a team and working collaboratively with a cross-section of stakeholders to ensure project goals and deadlines are met, including creation of vision and mission, establishing goals or objectives, establishing project teams, applying comprehensive root cause analysis, implementing intervention, ensuring organizational alignment, and measuring progress and success.
- Staying current on design and development trends and changes and advising sales/operations team on possible new functions to make use of.
- Serving as a liaison with middle and upper Pyrotek management for requirements gathering in a manner that upholds Pyrotek’s values and reflects positively on the Division.
- Supervise, coach support, train and develop personnel in assigned area; resolve personnel issues, redirecting complex issues to management and HR in a timely manner; directly manage team members, including assigning and reviewing work, evaluating performance/compensation, resolving grievances, administering disciplinary action, interviewing employment candidates, and effectively recommending hires and terminations in a timely manner.

Qualifications
Education/Experience Bachelor of Science in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field, plus a minimum of ten (10) years' experience with at least five of those years in a management role. Executive level experience with proven record of accomplishment of successful negotiations preferred.
US Passport or ability to obtain. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

- Supply Chain. Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in optimizing supply chain technology, planning and processes. Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits. Demonstrated ability to build strategic vendor relationships and influence and negotiate contracts for mutual benefit.

- Project Management Skills. Excellent planning and relationship building skills. Ability to liaise with middle and upper Pyrotek management for scope negotiation in a manner that upholds Pyrotek’s values and reflects positively on Division.
- Computer/Applications Skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word & Excel. Aptitude to learn and understand Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system functionality, Visual Manufacturing software and other programs utilized on the job.
- Communication Skills. Effective communicator with skills that demonstrate collaboration and cooperation.
- Economics and Accounting. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and business practices. Ability to analyze data and understand the impact of supply chain on business outcomes.
- Entrepreneurial. Knowledge of industry with ability to exploit that knowledge and accept risks to create opportunities.
- Travel. Ability to travel by land and air, both domestically and globally up to 40%.
Physical/Sensory Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, team members are regularly required to talk, hear, and see. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, bend, and reach, use stairs and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, communicate effectively in English by telephone, in person, and in writing, and effectively use a personal computer, telephone, and office equipment. This position is moderately active and requires standing, walking, and bending. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety shoes, glasses, and hearing protection.
Working Environment
Work in an office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing plants where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required due to exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts such as overhead cranes, vibration, and moving vehicles. The noise level in manufacturing plants and job sites can be loud. Travel may be required both domestic and international up to 40%.
